Whist in the Taravie started again last October and concluded in March. We were delighted to welcome some new players this year. A €2 contribution per person per night was collected and the winner at the end of the season picked a charity to donate the money to.
The cards Christmas party was hosted by our Commodore and was a great night! Our end of season cards party was held in March with prizes awarded for highest score, longest sit and anything else exceptional that happened during the year!
Many thanks to Maureen and the staff in the Taravie for allowing us to use their premises, and to our “cards tutor” – Kevin Conroy for teaching us all how to play! All new players welcome – every Thursday at 7.30 pm.
